But a whole new world of content and a new story in the Spiritfarer world with fresh gameplay is absolutely something I would be all over. The existence of the Spiritfarer world is up for discussion, but according to the DLC lore, a spiritfarer is just someone on their deathbed. Spiritfarer is a a cozy management game about dying. Why not give me those same new experiences with some updated game play, some new characters and places to explore. While I am all for the new free DLC that is coming out I actually think a whole new game makes more sense then just adding things to the original game because most of us have finished the game and now when they release to spirits I have to go back into a game I have finished and a story I have wrapped to experience it. A sequel would absolutely make sense because you could just continue to make those little stories with new spirits but could also refresh the game play with a new boat, new boat buildings, a brand new map with new locations, some new abilities and powers, new events, and a new Spiritfarer to grow attached to with a new story. The story in this game is basically a bunch of little stories (the story for each spirit) wrapped up together with a very loosely defined frame story.
